ARTIST: Jean Hudson Nampijinpa, born Circa 1956 in the bush at Mt Allen cattle station near Yuendumu, Northern Territory. Anmatyerre/ Warlpiri Tribe, her country is Mt. Wedge & Mt. Allen (Kerinyarra). She is Maureen's older sister. Began painting in 1979 & the demand for her work has increased over the years & has taken part in many group exhibitions & held solo exhibitions throughout Australia.

Description: Traditional striking design is of Warlukurlongu, the fire dreaming story west of Yuendumu, where the blue-tongue lizard man Tjampitjinpa set the bush alight with his flashing tongue, and sent the flames after his two Jungala sons.
